My Story

Hello and Welcome!

Since I was a young girl, I have had a love of sewing and crafting.  My first memory of sewing was when I was 9 making a pair of shorts with my mother.  Since then, I have made my own clothes and bags, but it wasn’t until I was out of college living on my own that I discovered my love of quilting.  Once bitten by the quilting bug, I began experimenting with quilting; applique, paper piecing, block design and embroidery. After that the hook was set. I saved up and bought my longarm quilting machine.    

While I do not currently have a computerized system, my free-hand designs can still have unique shapes to make any quilt top pop!  Additionally, my husband is able to create any ruler shape I need, making almost any design possible.

Larkspur Quilting was born in 2021 from a road trip through Northern California and Oregon after a visit with my parents.  On one of the long desolate roads, my husband asked me why I hadn’t started a business quilting for others.  Once we made it home, I began making my dream a reality.  With my perfectionist nature, you can be assured I will treasure your quilt top, creating a family heirloom for years to come!
